For the second time in 3 weeks my back decided to go out on me. The first time was just getting out of bed. The second time was while trying to clean up after the dog. Nothing very strenuous, I just happened to move the wrong way. The second time only allowed me to sit for 15 minutes or so at a time. I must find everywhere I sit that promotes bad posture and get rid of it. I’m thinking the first place is my chair at work. I spend a majority of my time in that chair and I think it may be part of my current back situation. Now all I have to do is find a good office chair.
Any suggestions?
that’s true, posture is very important and can be the cause of back pains.. Also the stronger your core is, the easier it will be on your back. Good luck with that 🙂
Try to find a good chair for work, one with a good amount of cushioning, that should help you sit up straighter. When you realize your slouching remind yourself to sit up straight and breathe deeply, you can’t breathe deeply without sitting up straight. Good luck!
Hubby has had a terrible back pain for weeks, so I definitely don’t recommend his office chair. I got nothin’.
Time to visit a chiropractor? I’ve been trying to get Hubby to go to one, but he won’t listen – maybe a fun outing to the chiropractor among friends? 😉

I went to a chiropractor once and it helped a lot! Of course, losing some of my middle in the last 10 years prob helped, too! Hope you and C get to feeling better soon !
Remember those computer “chairs” of the late 80s/90s- the ones where you actually kneel as much as sit? 😮
I have had on-and-off lower back pain myself for a few years now, so I feel for you. I recently got a back massager at half-price, but it doesn’t seem to help much. Maybe if I used it more…?
I remember those chairs. I had one until a rather large repair guy sat in it and broke it. 😉
