Theater Season for Next Year.

The last show of “Miracle on 34th Street” ended the 2009 season for the Williams County Community Theater. Next year’s season starts in February with tryouts this week.

I’m facing a small problem. The only show I’m interested in for 2010 is the very first show. This would mean that I start practices shortly after finishing my last show. I really would like some time off, but I don’t want to spend a complete season away from acting.

So some time before tomorrow or Thursday, I will be making this decision. I’m willing to hear arguments on both sides of this to help with this time consuming activity.

  1. In case you haven’t heard.. a neighboring community theatre is doing Hound of the Baskervilles in Fall ’10 😉 I think you would do Holmes quite well.

  2. Interesting, that is one of my favorite Holmes stories. Depending on the script, I think Henry Baskerville , Jack Stapleton or Watson may be better roles.

  3. I was going to suggest the same thing about going to Hicksville.
If you really want to try out for the first show at WCCT, and you have the time, then go for it – time off can be taken another time. Chances are, the show won’t be nearly as work-intensive as the last show you were in…

  4. I’ll think about Hicksville because I really like that story, but it is a bit of a drive for me. One of those places where I can’t get to from here.

  5. That’s all we ask… consider it. When I heard HotB was one of the shows for next season, I thought… Boy, j would be great in that! 😀

I was too young to see you in your first Sherlock Holmes play, it would be cool to see you in one now…

You weren’t even born for the last Sherlock Holmes play I was in. Not even a twinkle in someone’s eye.

Ah, yes… was that not the first of your on-stage experiences that we have heard so much about 😉
